[Kakashi's bedroom, formerly the one he shared with Obito. The PCD sits in a hamper of clothing at the end of the bed. Kakashi himself is reclined on the bed, dark circles around his visible eye as he looks to his left at a chair. No one sits in the chair, but he looks at it semi-interestedly, as if listening to someone¹ speak.]

[Kakashi is relatively calm, but his usual tone is marked by something a bit frazzled and impatient, probably due to lack of sleep.]

Mm hm. I understand that sleep might do me some good...

[A pause. Then, dismissive, as his gaze flickers to the foot of the bed, to someone² who supposedly is sitting there. No one is there.]

--No, I really don't care how un-youthful this is.

[A sigh. An eyeroll.] I'm not susceptible to challenges like you are. But... [He smiles beneath the mask and leans forward.] ...if you want me to sleep so badly, maybe you should find me something to sleep with...?

[He hears someone³ respond and raises a brow, turning his head quickly and following with his gaze as something only he can see moves beside him on the right.] I didn't mean...yeah, the bear is fine, Obi.

[He fondly picks up the bear he gifted Obito at Valentine's. Then, frowning slightly at the space on his right about shoulder-high--the height of a short thirteen year old boy...]

Don't give me that look.

...There's just no point trying to sleep if I can't...

[He shakes his head a few times as if disagreeing with someone, briefly putting up a hand as if to stop an impending Obito hug.]

No. No, I'm fine. And you can't make that promise. You won't be here when I wake up.

None of you will be. [He looks out past the hamper at someone⁴ and his hold on the bear tightens a little as he yawns.]

[He begins by teasing, because she looks like she could do with something lighthearted, but judging from the change in tone after a second, he's been scolded.] Are you offering, Anko? Uh, Obito might try to kick you out of the bed...

...But, I've been told to ask: How are you holding up?

[She grins lazily.] 'Course. And I'm not sure how far Obito-kun'll get on that idea.

I'm... Ha, I've not gone completely mad just yet? Well. Mad-er. Anyway. It wasn't all bad, this time around. For once.

But, fuck, I seriously want to sleep.

He'll try. You can't fault the kid for trying. ...And I'm almost tempted to take you up on the offer. Though I doubt it'll make a difference. But, hey, you can always come by, share ghosts until we pass out, at least.

Yeah. We all do. Shiori's flaunting it now. She's done nothing but sleep all day.

Mm, might as well. Not exactly like I've got a long trek over there. Maybe then Kurenai will stop bitching at me abou-- Okay, fine, insisting I clean my room, that better?

Mm. Shi-chan's been sleeping too but that's partially my doing. Figured at least one of us should sleep.

Yeah, someone might as well. We can't all be cranky and dead-asleep when this is done.

So, like usual then. [she laughs at Kurenai] You would, and you do. Mhm. [She's quiet for a second, then] And maybe you can shut this other one here up.

So I've found, if you can keep from going off the deep end entirely.

Fortunately, all I have to do for her is turn down the heat and she sleeps more. But I have a feeling Adstring's gonna be pretty quite for a day or two while everyone catches up.

...Gladly. You can't just leave him back at your place, hm?

Hopefully it'll be quiet, otherwise we'll have a problem, with so many down for the count.

Well...I made the stupid mistake of trying to sleep for, oh, fifteen minutes. And when I opened my eyes, well, there he was. Not a nice thing to wake up to, real or not. Stop laughing, it wasn't that funny, you bastard.

Unless it's an even that can get us through our dreams, I wouldn't think it'd be that effective, actually.

[Shakes his head and tries not to laugh, too.] At least you didn't get out of the shower and find him there.

Or unless it's, mm...an earthquake or something, where sleeping through it might just get you killed.

[Ufauikhfdj that is not a nice mental image for her, which is the cause for the funny face.] Yeah, that would have been unpleasant. As it was, I took a few chunks out of my wall anyway, but at least it was only my room.

I doubt anybody'd sleep through that, no matter how tired you were.

[...but it's a cute funny face? Even if it might mean he gets kunai thrown at his head.] Refrain from that in my room, if you could, ok?

Maybe. As it is, I doubt most would be awake enough to save ourselves from it, though.

[Fortunately for him, she can't throw things through the PCD. So he'll have to settle for her being mature enough to not stick her tongue out at you. Quite.] Yes, I've heard it's rude to go around putting holes in other people's walls.

This is true. Good thing we've got better survival skills than that, right?
