Gai-sensei is exuberant, and though I feel as though I played the part of a responsible adult while we functioned as a team, he was, more or less, like a parent to all of us. Endearing at times, it's more annoying than anything. Looking at Hiashi-sama is enough.
One could probably say I'm bitter about the attention he showed Lee and how his positive attitude doesn't need to make sense. No matter how much of an idiot he acts, or how foolish his plans, they generally seem to work. Not everything is that simple for me: I can't just go in and change everything or make it better with only determination and a positive attitude.
It's a type of jealous envy, but it doesn't run deep enough to breed anything more than that.
